All (8) rooms in our homestay are conventional standard accommodations. The rooms are mostly double and triple bedded, with a western bathroom and toilet connected. All of the rooms are traditional, warm, and have local woods flooring and walls, giving them a classic Nepali feel. There is a constant supply of drinking water as well as hot water amenities. The rooms are surrounded by gorgeous marigold flowers as well as other flower varieties. A new building is now being constructed and will be completed by 2021.
Marigold Homestay in Echay Forest Village is well-known for its excellent service and amenities. Extremely humble Mr Lakshjuman Bhujel and his family are the proud owners and operators of the property.
Both vegetarian and non-vegetarian cuisines are provided at Marigold Home. The food is prepared in a traditional wood-fired Chula, and the vegetables are farmed organically in the restaurant’s grounds.
Barbecues grilled over an open fire in the property’s open spaces.
Attractions:
Icchey Gaon is a serene location. One of the main attractions is walking about the village and admiring the Himalayan grandeur. Sillery Gaon, a lovely Himalayan location separated by a hill and only 2.5 kilometres from Icchey Gaon, is another beautiful Himalayan location. Walking is an easy way to complete the distance, as the road travels through a tropical forest. Exotic birds and animals can also be seen if you’re lucky.
The Ramitey Dara viewpoint is one of the best places to see the lovely meandering river Teesta with its 14 loops. Tinchuley ViewPoint provides a spectacular view of Kanchenjunga and the eastern Himalayas. On a clear day, the passes of Nathu-la and Jelep-la can be seen from here. Damsang fort, located 6 kilometres from Icchey Gaon, is well worth a visit.
Sightseeing
Echay Gaon offers a panoramic view of the Kanchenjunga range as well as a lovely forest village route. Burmek Mahadev Dham, View of the longest Teesta river belt, Jalsa Bungalow, Pine Forest Trekking, Soureni, Bhoomari Dara, Sillary Goan (Ramitay viewpoint, Tinchuley, Damsang fort) are among the other local attractions.
Some of the sites to view in Kalimpong include Delo Dara, Durbin Dara, Pine View Nursery (cactus garden), and Kolakhang (lava). Phademchin, Zuluk, Nathan Valley, Lunthung, Sikkim, Reshi River, Aritar, Namkhim (20 km from Aritar), Phademchin, Zuluk, Nathan Valley, Lunthung, Sikkim.

How to reach Icche Gaon

Fly to Bagdogra airport or take any train to NJP railway station. Then, from both the railway station and the airport, a large number of hired automobiles are available to take you to Icche Gaon. Icche Gaon is roughly three and a half hours away via NH10 from both NJP station and Bagdogra airport.
Ichhe Gaon is 18 kilometres from Kalimpong, 16 kilometres from Pedong, 100 kilometres from Bagdogra, and 87 kilometres from NJP Station.
