With ten standard rooms, the homestay is the perfect place to stay while visiting Singalila National Park. Rooms with triple beds, four beds, five beds, eight beds, and a dormitory are offered.
Attractions:
In front of the lodges, there is a beautiful sight of Sleeping Budhha. A magnificent vista, more like an open field, is located in the heart of Tumling. The Kanchenjunga snow peaks can be seen well from the edge of this area. The Sandakphu peak may be seen on the distant left. The sunrise and sunset views are breathtaking. The golden rays cast a magnificent spell in the sky and on the Himalayan Range’s high peaks.
If the sky is clear at night, the brilliant stars and even the Milky Way can be seen in all their glory. You can go to a neighbouring temple, which is about a 5-minute walk from the lodges. The “sea” of clouds between the mountains can be very calming to the eyes if you’re lucky.
Tonglu, located 1.5 kilometres away, is another lovely Singalila hamlet from where you may get a clear view of the famous Kanchenjunga group of peaks.

How to reach Tumling

Manevanjan is the starting point for the singalila tour. NJP Rly station is 95 kilometres away, while Bagdogra is 110 kilometres away. Manevanjan is 32 kilometres from Darjeeling and 64 kilometres from Kalimpong. NJP, Bagdogra, Kalimpong, and Darjeeling offer shared jeep and cab services. Tumling may be reached by Landrovers from Manevanjan. The distance between Manevanjan and Tumling is 12 kilometres, via Chitre and Meghma. Many hikers begin their journey in Manevanjan.
From Dhotrey, trekkers can reach Tumling via Singalila National Park. The journey is quite enjoyable.

About Tumling

Have you ever wondered what it’s like to be in a sea of clouds? You may have seen images of such magnificent sights, but seeing them in person is an altogether other experience.
Tumling is a tiny village in Nepal’s Ilam District’s Jogmai VDC. At an altitude of 2970 metres, a tourist destination in the Eastern Himalayas (10,000 ft). The trek/Landrover path to Sandakphu passes through this small community in the Singalila highlands. Its population is primarily made up of Gurung families, with a total population of only 15 people. It’s around a 35-minute walk from Meghma and not far from Darjeeling. Tumling is located within the Singalila National Park zone.
The snow-capped Kanchenjunga range and its related peaks may be seen from the little hill town. You will be awestruck by Mount Kanchenjunga, Mount Kumbhakarna, Mount Kabur, and Mount Kaburdom. On a clear day, travellers may view Mount Everest from Tumling if they travel about 15 minutes onward

Tumling is also a notable bird watching destination. During April and May, the hellscape was ablaze with Rhododendron and other wildflowers.
Tumling is a pleasant place to spend the night, with a variety of lodges dotting the tranquil greenery. On a clear night, the lights of Darjeeling, Kurseong, Pasupati (Nepal), Siliguri, and other places may be seen.
Tonglu (3036m) is a small village within the Singalila National Park in the Darjeeling sector, Darjeeling district, West Bengal, India, near the India-Nepal border, and one of the highest peaks of the Singalila Ridge. It’s a rest stop on the way from Manebhanjan to Sandakphu on the trekking route.
