In the heart of the hills and valleys, our Ramdhura homestay is situated in a very clean, tranquil environment. We offer a simple lodging with a spectacular view of the Kanchenjunga Range. In addition, all of the rooms have balconies with seating areas. Our homestay also offers a lovely garden on the premises.
The homestay is maintained by a very humble local man named Mr Bhutia and his family, who look after their guests’ comfort and meals. All rooms may accommodate up to four people. There are western toilets with running water in every room. Organic vegetables and poultry from local villages are used to prepare the food. Here you will find a barbeque facility. In the North Bengal Hills, a homestay in Ramdhura gives you a warm welcome amid nature.
Attractions:
The view of Kanchenjunga mountain from any hill station in the Sikkim Darjeeling region is one of the main attractions. Ramdhura has a beautiful and clear view of the mountain range. It’s also a good starting point for exploring the famous Silk Route, which used to connect Kalimpong and Tibet until half a century ago. In the neighbouring woodlands, there are several hiking choices, including a popular hike between Icchegaon and Sillerygaon. Due to the close vicinity of the two places, all of Kalimpong’s sightseeing opportunities are also available in Ramdhura.
Delo View Point – Located 8 kilometres from Ramdhura Village, Delo ViewPoint provides a breathtaking panoramic view of the highlands and hilltops. It’s a park that provides a fantastic opportunity for kids to spend quality time together. It is also possible to go paragliding here.
The Kalimpong Science Centre is a science museum with a good view of the mountains surrounding it. It is located near Delo View Point. It’s a great spot for kids and families to spend valuable time together.
Icchey Gaon – Icchey Gaon is a small village in Kalimpong district that is only 2.5 kilometres from Ramdhura. This location provides a serene and peaceful atmosphere as well as a spectacular outlook.
Hanuman Temple – In addition to religious significance, this location gives a spectacular view of Mt. Kanchenjunga.
Day trips to Sillery Gaon, Pedong, and other locations are available. If tourists want to go river rafting on the Teesta River, they can do it as part of a day trip from Ramdhura. It’s around 29 kilometres from there.

How to reach Ramdhura

Fly to Bagdogra airport or take any train to NJP railway station. Then, from both the railway station and the airport, a large number of hired automobiles are available to take you to Icche Gaon. Icche Gaon is roughly three and a half hours away via NH10 from both NJP station and Bagdogra airport.
