Lamahatta Eco Park is a popular tourist destination in Lamahatta. It is bordered by pine forests with a variety of seasonal blooms as well as rare A hiking trail has also been constructed that leads hikers through the pine tree maze to two magnificent ponds known locally as “jore pokhari” or “twin ponds.”Seats have been positioned at observation locations, with a watchtower observing the environs.

About Lamahatta

Bong culture draws the attention of every art, music, and history fan because of its distinctiveness. You can’t help but fall in love with its old-world charm, whether it’s the yellow taxis or the police uniforms. The splendour of North Bengal, particularly Lamahatta Tour, enchants you, drawing you into a tranquil paradise.

A beautiful hamlet called Lamahatta is nestled in the pine forest at an altitude of 5000 feet, overlooking the majestic Himalayan range. Lamahatta, located 23 kilometres from the bustling Darjeeling town, is still a newly discovered site with few visitors, making it a tourist-free zone. Lama in Lamahatta refers to a Buddhist monk, whereas Hatta refers to a monk’s hut. Tribes such as the Sherpas, Yalmos, Tamangs, Bhutias, and Dukpas make up the majority of the population.

If you’re looking for a quick trip, this is a fantastic circuit and one of my personal favourites. The Lamahatta Tour is usually a wonderful choice if you want to immerse yourself in some eccentric ecotourism culture in North Bengal, especially if you live near Bengal. We visit some gorgeous Eco-friendly communities in this region of the Himalayas after a three-hour scenic trip along the Teesta River from Siliguri to Lamahatta Eco Park. It’s a serene setting, with towering pine trees and Mount Kanchenjunga in the front.
